In South America, it is responsible for the primary processing and deboning of beef cattle sourced from Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina; and for the production of further processed products, such as canned meat, beef jerky, sauces, sachets and more. The products are sold internally through retail, wholesale and food service channels and are also exported to various markets. In Chile, the Company is the leading beef importer. Locally, the Company has lamb primary processing capacity of 605,000 head/year. Marfrig also operates two lamb primary processing lines in Uruguay.
In North America, it is responsible for the primary processing and deboning of beef cattle originating from the USA. The products are sold internally through retail, wholesale and food service channels and also exported to various markets. The business also includes the sale of ancillary/complementary products and subproducts resulting from the process, the tannery and logistics operations and direct online sales to consumers.
