Quality Certifications

Marfrig Global Foods units are certified in four standards that make up the company's Integrated Management System: ISO 14000, ISO 22000, AS 8000 and OHSAS 18000. Implementation of this system is aimed at identifying opportunities to improve processes in order to achieve customer and employee satisfaction, in addition to facilitating international exchanges of goods or supplies, through adoption of common standards at organizations in different countries.

Compliance with the standards guarantees that all of the company's processes are in line with international occupational safety, environmental, social responsibility, quality and food safety guidelines.

Meat production is monitored at every stage by a Quality Assurance team, which audits and certifies manufacturing procedures and practices, while also identifying, monitoring and preventing risks. Factories are also certified by national and international food safety, environmental management, quality management and occupational health management and occupational safety standards:

SA 8000 International standard for assessing the social responsibility of suppliers based on the conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations (UN), which attests to the commitment undertaken by Marfrig Global Foods to upholding human rights in its labor relations. Today, ten units hold certification: Promissão (São Paulo), Bataguassu (Mato Grosso do Sul), Mineiros (Goiás), Paranatinga (Mato Grosso), Tangara da Serra (Mato Grosso), Chupinguaia (Roraima), Pampeano (Rio Grande do Sul), São Gabriel (Rio Grande do Sul), Bagé (Rio Grande do Sul) and Alegrete (Rio Grande do Sul). 10
