Corporate Governance

Corporate governance practices adopted by Marfrig Global Foods are in line with the principles of transparency, equality, accountability and corporate responsibility proposed by the Brazilian Institute for Corporate Governance (IBGC), in addition to following the norms established by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM).

Since 2007, the company has been part of the BM&FBOVESPA Novo Mercado. Its capital is therefore comprised only of ordinary shares, all with equal rights in relation to shareholder control in the company.

Nine executives sit on the Board of Directors – three of them are independent members – and there are four support committees: the Audit Committee, the Financial and Risk Management Committee, the Management Committee, and the Compensation, Human Resources and Corporate Governance Committee.
