Marfrig makes progress in integrating its South and North American operations


A delegation of four executives from National Beef arrives this Monday in São Paulo for a series of visits to Marfrig’s operations in South America. The visit by the group, led by CEO Tim Klein, marks the progress in the integration of Marfrig’s South and North American operations. In April this year, the company acquired a 51% interest in National Beef, the fourth largest beef processor in the United States. And in August, it announced the organization of its businesses into two major operations: South America, covering Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile; and North America, which includes National Beef. Accompanied by Marcos Molina, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Eduardo Miron, CEO of Marfrig Global Foods and Miguel Gularte, CEO of the South American operation, Mr. Klein and his team will visit the units at Itupeva in São Paulo, Bataguassu in Mato Grosso, Pampeano in Rio Grande do Sul and Tacuarembó in Uruguay.
